Jaime Glasser has recently returned to the art world after a career as a Veterinarian and a Research Scientist. She attended the Glassel School of Art at the Museum of Fine Art in Houston, Texas. She was a watercolor artist before devoting her career to animals and writing on Animal Hospice. After crushing her digital camera on a backpacking trip she began to devote herself to using her iPhone to take and edit images. She discovered editing her images with Apps with the original iPhone in 2007 and has never looked back. She is currently active in many aspects of the Mobilephotography world. She is an Ambassador at EyeEm, conducts Social Mobilephotography Public Art Events, and had gallery shows of her own art. She is passionate about teaching others about Mobilephotography in person at the Mesa Arts Center in her hometown of Mesa, Arizona, remotely through video conferencing and private lessons and making custom art for others especially artists and musicians. She has joined The App Whisperer to host a Collaboratory Mobilephotography Group and associated column called Artistic Anarchy: Mobile Collusions: An App Whisperer Group.
Jaime lives in historic Downtown Mesa, Arizona where she is also passionately involved with Creative Placemaking and Community Development in her hometown through the arts. She is thrilled to live within walking distance of the Valley Metro Light Rail and is excited about new opportunities to help facilitate connecting the creative communities in Tempe and Phoenix with the growing arts community in Downtown Mesa.
