Instructor Chiyoko Starkel has been practicing various forms of martial arts throughout her life including Japanese Karate, Tai Kwon-Do, and other forms, however in the last ten years her focus has been on Tai Chi. She studied Chen style and Yang styles. She is still a student herself because Tai Chi is a never ending study. She has been teaching now for five years at various locations, and has won several gold medals at the AZ Senior Olympics in both hand form and sword form, and has participated in the Chinese competition at the Chinese New Year's competition and has won several gold and silver awards at these events as well.
